13 Points of the Young Lords

The Young Lords Organization's 13 Point Program served as the foundation for the party. They established a purpose and represented the mission for the group. These points also highlighted larger societal problems beyond just police brutality and discrimination that Latinos faced. This 13 Point Program also addressed other problems such as female inequality, education rights, and political rights. These goals highlighted the broader mission for the organization (Westcott, 2018) .
